Michigan Merinos

In 1987 we were a hobby farm with chickens, ducks, turkeys, horses and goats. When the sheep came along  I knew that someday, we were going to be a merino sheep farm.  The children grew up, and in 2015 I had the opportunity to take early retirement. Now we have the merino sheep farm I dreamed about.

Happy Goat Lucky Ewe Fiber Farm today provides lovely hand spun yarns made from several breeds of sheep including Tees-water, Blue Faced Leicester, Romney, California Variegated Mutant (CVM), and Merino, with mohair mixed in to provide luster. The hat in the photograph is natural colored CVM mixed with husky - spun into yarn and custom knit for a one-of-a-kind gift.

Our 50 ewe flock produces wear-next-to-your-skin, super soft, luxurious white merino wool.
